Dr. Heather Lin, M.D. is a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist practicing in Calabasas, California. She has special training in the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric conditions that emerge in childhood and adolescence such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety disorder, separation anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder), and autistic spectrum disorders. Dr. Lin began her medical education at Cornell University (Dean’s List 8 out of 8 semesters) and continued her medical training at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. She completed her General Adult Psychiatry Residency at the esteemed Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. During her General Adult Psychiatry Residency, Dr. Lin co-chaired and presented “Effect of Maternal Depression on the Cognitive and Emotional Development of Children” at the Annual Meeting of the American Psychiatric Association. She also participated in the Professionals In Residence (PIR) Program at the famed Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California. After finishing her General Adult Psychiatry Residency, Dr. Lin subsequently pursued additional subspecialty training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and was honored to be chosen as Chief Fellow. As Chief Fellow, she took on a leadership role and participated in multiple advisory boards. Prior to establishing her private practice, Dr. Lin worked as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at the Santa Clarita Child and Family Center. Dr. Lin has garnered numerous awards, including the Judd Marmor Faculty Award for Clinical Excellence, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) Outstanding Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Resident Award, Vitals Patients’ Choice Awards, Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award, and Doctor’s Choice Awards.
